September 7th to September 14th
We moved on to eureka corps of engineers Park close to Grand River.
We are on site 12 which you can't tell from the picture but to get up to the campsite is extremely steep. Once we got the camper up there it was easy to level, but the car did not like backing up to get it there. I think if we still had the old van the transmission will be sitting on the ground.
With the advice of Ron Turnau we decided to go to Patty's 1880 Settlement for lunch. It was very good and very interesting. However not low calorie or low fat.
There was also a few of the under 260s like we have in Florida. By pictures they don't look that much different in size but they are.I like the sign.

We went to the Land between the lakes and at Golden pond we visited the visitor center and watched a planetarium show. It was excellent Becky saw so some of it she fell asleep.
We also went through the elk and bison prairie but did not see any only the remains that they dropped on the road. We did see turkeys

We also visited a nice Marina that is primarily sailboats. There used to be a very good Hunter dealership here so most of them are hunters. We saw one just like the one we sold and wondered if we would have some misgivings. The answer is no but if the owner would have been there we would have told him some things that they need to work on.

Of course we're doing some geocaching and one of them was called where the eagle sits. This actually was an eagle.
This was probably the longest geocache trail we've ever been on it was 3 mi to get to the geocache and you can see in the last picture the point that we were trying to make it to.
